FACULTY REGISTRATION DESK
If you are a Committee Member, an Invited Speaker or a Session Chair, please come to the Faculty Registration Desk to collect your badge.
PREPAID REGISTRATION
A confirmation letter with a barcode will be sent to all non-faculty participants a few days prior to the Congress.
Please bring your confirmation letter with you to the Congress to enable you to collect your registration materials from the prepaid registration stations located in the Registration Area of the Congress Centre.
If you do not receive a confirmation letter and barcode, do not worry, you will still be able to use the self-service machines by typing your full name into the machine. Hostesses will be in the Registration Area to assist you.
BADGES
Upon registration, you will receive your name badge. You are kindly requested to wear your badge during all Congress sessions and events.
VIRTUAL LOGIN AND ONLINE INFORMATION
The Virtual Congress Platform will be accessible for online participants from Tuesday, 14 November, from 06:30 AM South Africa Standard Time (SAST) until the end of the congress. All sessions will be available for 3-months following the completion of the Congress. (until February 14, 2024).
Scientific sessions taking place in Hall A and Hall B are live-streamed to the virtual platform and will be available on demand within the platform.
Scientific sessions taking place in Hall C and Hall D are recorded and made available on demand via the virtual platform.
* Recordings of the scientific sessions will be made available within 48-hours following the session and placed onto the virtual platform. (*Subject to presenter approval).

Important information for oral presenters
Information pertaining to CME accreditation can be found on the CME-CPD Congress webpage. Participants will receive an email after the congress, where the CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit-claiming procedure. Kindly note that the WSPID 2023 online evaluation will be active on the last day of the congress. You will then be able to access it and claim your CME/CPD certificate.
Within the congress venue, healthcare professional authorized to prescribe prescription medicines will be recognized with a letter P (Prescriber) indicated after their name badges.
Non-prescribers will be indicated as N/P
Most visitors to Durban do not require a visa for entry. However, double-check that you do not require a visa from the country you are coming from. Click HERE to check the Travel Requirements.
An official personalized letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration procedure. This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the Scientific Program. Invitation letters can be provided electronically (PDF) or as a hard copy if required. Hard copies will be mailed via regular post free of charge. In case of a special delivery (courier) request, the participant will be responsible for all charges.
All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.
Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.
The Congress Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
Within the event platform, all exhibitors (booth admins) will be recognized with a letter E (Exhibitor) indicated after their names.
